Sickness

We regularly advise employers on how best to manage both long term and short-term absence including complex cases involving disabilities, including referrals to an Occupational Health team we collaborate with.

We have recently advised and achieved a pragmatic and commercial solution by agreeing ‘reasonable adjustment’ which enabled continuity of employment, albeit now varied.

In another case, upon receipt of an occupational health report, we guided a client through a fair dismissal handled with sensitivity.

Tupe

We offer full support with the Tupe process including due diligence and all necessary documentation.

Recently we have advised on the application of Tupe for a client with a grow by acquisition strategy We supported, and guided end to end.

Disciplinaries

From time to time formal disciplinary action is inevitable for most employers.

Recently we have guided a business manager through detailed investigations and decision making for a serious misconduct issue, resulting in dismissal with the result of no appeal and no Tribunal claim. Here we are a safe pair of hands with even the most challenging cases and are proud of our 100% record of no claims.

Grievances

Grievances must be carried out in accordance with the ACAS framework.

We have advised a business owner, where a long- standing employee raised a grievance citing harassment and bullying by their Director. We conducted thorough investigations and advised the client throughout. Chaired and wrote the outcome letter for a grievance with a senior employee who had raised a grievance following discussions about his performance.
